Modern Mini Challenge

I loved all the inspiration for this challenge.  I hadn't really planned to enter...but I kept seeing more and more inspiration quilts and then, the bug bit me.  Still, I hedged a bit.  I started one and told myself, if it doesn't turn out good, I won't enter it.  But I started and I changed it a bit from my original thought and when it was done...I LOVED IT!

I always wanted a rainbow quilt and this mini was perfect in size for me.
I made my strips of white-color-white and slashed them.  Then, I thought they needed more slashing.
Then I fiddled with putting them back together until I was satisfied.
Then I quilted in the ditch around the colors.  I was a bit stumped about the white area, but then it came to me...small stones...lots of them.  It took 3 sessions after work to complete.
So here is my rainbow modern mini challenge quilt.  It makes me happy just looking at it and now I want to make more minis.

What a great idea! And perfect to chase away mid-winter blues (I'm in Ohio). Lovely quilting. Glad you decided to enter the challenge!

Oh I love it Charlotte! It is such a happy fun quilt and I am so glad you've caught the mini bug! I think minis are like chips- you can't make just one! Thanks for linking up to the modern mini challenge! Good luck!
