Plus Scrap Quilt is Finished

I know! Can you believe that I have finished so many quilts lately? Me neither. But I am on a quest to get them done. I had eight quilts in process and now I am down to three!

This is in a stairwell. It was the only place close enough to snap a quick picture. I need to take some of these out somewhere and get better pictures. This whole quilt was done with scraps. I started it when I was still in California last year.

I quilted it simply with a skinny loop on the horizontal. I love how it came out. It is quilted in a coral shade of Aurifil thread.
Here you can see how well it blends in with some of the colors. Pinks really make good neutrals. There's no color they don't go with.
Here is the back, made from some fabric I have had in my stash for quite a while.  I love how the two work together.

So, that catches us up for now. More quilts to be made. Talk to you soon.

My Missing U Quilt is Finished!

Remember this? It wasn't very long ago that I started this and now it's finished and on my bed, just in time for the cold weather we're supposed to get this week.

And here it is all quilted and crinkled from the dryer. I love so much how this turned out. There are so many of my favorite fabrics in this quilt. Some new, some old, some from clothing I made.

It's all quilted with wavy lines that I did with my walking foot on my Bernina. I was scared to start this hug beast, but I have to say it went better than I expected.
The top half was all done with pink Aurifil thread, 40 weight. The bottom half was done with a blue-green Aurifil 40 weight. This spot is where the two met on the quilt.

This is the quilting on the back. The light is making this look grey, but it is navy blue in reality. The thread on the back is Aurifil variegated pink to an orange red.

So, one more done! Talk to you soon.

So Much to Catch Up On

I find it very hard to sit down and write a post sometimes, but I am going to try once again to get caught up here. So many projects.

I finished the quilt top for the Perfect Pineapple quilt along. It has had all of the papers removed and the blocks sewn together. I need to get the backing put together and get it basted, but I am recovering from basting and quilting a very large quilt, so I am taking a break from that for a bit., But soon it will happen.
I made a second Sandhill Sling for myself this time. I love the color of this one. Pink is one of my faves.

And I finally finished stitching this beauty. Pattern is by Lolli and Grace, you can find it on Etsy. Her patterns are so beautiful.

Got myself a big bunch of Dahlias at the market on Saturday. We're supposed to get a frost this week so probably my last chance and boy are they gorgeous!
Started this project last year, but never got very far with it. It is another pattern by Lolli and Grace. I changed out the beads for some that I had on hand that I also happen to like a lot.
I mad one for each of the grandkids. And yay! Look at me ahead of the game for once. That's all for today. I hope you're all well and enjoying the fall.
